Casino Party FAQ

Casino Party Frequently Asked Questions:

What is a Casino Party?

A casino party is a popular form of event and party entertainment. At a casino party there are casino style games like Blackjack, Roulette, Poker, Craps, slots etc. in which the guests play for fun. This type of party is great for corporate events, birthday parties, and holidays.

Are Casino Parties Legal?

Yes. Casino Party parties are legal as long as they don't involve gambling. Party guests play for fun, (chips or fake paper money with no value).

How Much Does a Casino Party Cost?

Custom quotes are provided by going to the Team Events website and filling out the contact form, or by calling 1-800-BEST-PARTY. Each party is quoted separately because of time, guests, location, number of tables, dealers needed and other factors. Give us a call/contact and we will tell you exactly what you can expect to pay.

What Happens on the Event Day?

Our professional dealers and team will arrive 1-2 hours before the event to set up the tables. You will be given the casino "play money" which your guests will be able to exchange for chips. How you hand out the money is up to you. When the party starts, the dealers will be ready at their table to open the gaming. After the allotted time is over, (or at the end of the event, depending) the dealers will break down the tables and remove all of the rented equipment quickly and efficiently

How Long will the Casino be Open?
Generally, our casino parties run 4 hours. If you want to allow for longer casino-style gaming, arrangements can be made.

Will your Dealers help Beginner Players?

Absolutely. We strive to make the casino party fun for all of your guests. We enjoy teaching and giving advice on the various games to novice players. And since no real money is ever involved, this is a fun and relaxing place for your guests to learn something new.

What are the Different Types of Games Available?

We have Black Jack, Roulette, A Money Wheel, Craps Table, Caribbean Poker, and Slot Machines available for your casino party.

Do You have Slot Machines?

Yes, we have both slot machines and the BIG BERTHA - a giant 7 foot tall slot machine where the reels can be customized with photos or logos to make your casino night event or party absolutely memorable! http://www.teamevents.com/FGL_bertha.asp#start Note: Slot machines are not available in all states.

How do we End the Party? How do we award prizes?

There are several fun ways to conclude a casino theme party. You could have the guests turn in their chips--or you could give away prizes based on the amount won. Raffles and auctions are also very popular.

Casino Party Loctions

Chosing a location for your casino party --as with all parties-- is vital to the success of the event. If you are planning a casino party in the NY tri state area, please contact Team Events at 1 800 BEST PARTY to reserve one of the top party locales in our area.

Hosting a Casino Party?

Remember these two important location features: SPACE & FLOW- To host a casino night, you will need to find a space with plenty of space for the gaming tables. If your party is large, you may want to consider renting a room or hall, however house parties can be very successful if you have large enough rooms that connect to each other. Guests should be able to easily move from one room to another. Also, consider a roulette wheel and poker tables to carry the casino theme. Some other things to consider are craps and a large (Big Bertha) slot machine. Craps is a very fun and fast-paced game where the spectators participate by placing bets on the person rolling the dice. A craps table takes a little more space, but is well worth it if you can fit the table comfortably in a room.

If you need or want to take the party to another venue, there are plenty of hot spots in the NYC (and tri-state) area to host your event. We would be happy to find you the right location, meeting your party size, theme and budget. Feel free to contact us any time

Casino Party -- The Details

You want to have a casino party... Your sister had one in Colorado, or your husband's boss went to one last year... but you aren't quite sure how it would work? The first thing to know is that Casino Parties are strickly for entertainment. Do not plan a party thinking you will make money. In fact, casino parties use chips with no real money. If you want to gamble for real, hop a plane to Vegas. Casino parties are just for fun...

At the party, your guests will be given a stack of chips or play money.

Your guests will play just as they would in a live casino -- only with less tables, and a whole lot more fun! Depending on what you arrange, there may be one or more kinds of games, such as poker, craps, or blackjack. Also, our dealers are happy to teach your guests how to play, so everyone can enjoy each of the games with no anxiety about doing things incorrectly.

As the party comes to a close, you can give prizes or let people "buy" things auction style with their chips

We love casino parties, because they are a great way to get guests mingling and having fun.

Enjoy!

Casino Party Decor and Decorations

Decorations are one of the first things that people think about when planning a casino party--and decorations are possibly the easiest AND most sometimes most difficult aspects of party planning. Here at Team Events, we like to make things easy for you - so we offer full decorating services, as well as props available to rent. Try Team Events for the best props and décor, custom created and delivered to you...

But if you are into the do-it-yourself route - there are several things that you can do:

Balloons: One of the easiest ways to spruce up venue for your casino party is to just blow up some old-fashioned balloons. Helium tanks can be rented and balloons purchased very economically. For your casino party think abouy blues and silvers, or black and white to add a classic touch! Gather the balloons together in bunches or let them float to the ceiling. Add the curled string and send bunches home with the guests. Just Be careful of sharp ar hot light fixtures and sprinklers!

Cards and Dice: Pictures of cards or dice make great decorations. You can get cardboard cutouts at any party supply store, or you can make your own with construction paper or by printing out graphics on your computer.

Posters: Posters are a super way to decorate. Use movie posters from casino movies (Ocean’s 11, Casino Royale, Showgirls, Vegas Vacation, The Color of Money).

Where to Host Your NYC Area Casino Party

So you want to plan a Casino Night Party, but you're not sure if you want to host in your home or if you should rent a venue?

Well, here is some advice so that you can make the best decision. It really comes down to space. To host your casino night party, you will need plenty of room for gaming tables. For large parties, you may want to consider renting space; however house parties can be very successful if you have large enough rooms that connect to each other. Your party guests should be able to easily move from game table to another. Plan to have a roulette wheel and poker and/or black jack tables. We also like craps--a craps table takes a little more space than poker or roulette, but is well worth it since it is so much fun, and will get the crowd going.

Do you need to find a location? Contact Team Events for NYC and surrounding area location assistance.

Have you hosted a casino party in your home? Do you have a story you can share? We would love to hear all about your fantastic casino night.
